Anti-Street Harassment Chalk Walk

  • 2724 Cherokee Street St. Louis, MO, 63118 United States (map)

Join Combat Sexual Harassment on Cherokee Street to kick off International Anti-Street Harassment Week on April 7th. We will begin chalking the sidewalks as early as 8:00am and finish no later than 12:00pm.

Come and share your truth, offer words of encouragement to sexual harassment/assault survivors, and reclaim our place in public spaces!

Bring your own chalk or use ours! Poster signs and any other artistic expression that you want to bring are welcome. We want to bring awareness where people can share their truth. You don’t have to be an artist to participate!

This is the first time St. Louis has joined in participating with the International Anti-Street Harassment Week. It officially begins this year April 8-14 but we want to let people join in all weekend long by starting it a day early. People from all over the world will be doing similar events. Be a part of the global #MeToo movement!

Our meeting place will be in front of Earthbound Beer at 2724 Cherokee St., St. Louis, MO. Thanks to the kindness of the businesses, we will have use of the entire block.

Let people know. We want to put St. Louis on the map!

There are several restaurants nearby that we can go to afterwards to have a bite to eat and discuss more about what we can do to help combat sexual harassment in public spaces.

Keep up to date on our Facebook Events page.
